Beatriz is Director of Corporate Compliance & Transformation / Business Tax Compliance in KPMG US. She has extensive experience in international tax advice and tax compliance as well as in international tax planning, mainly for companies in the mining, energy and oil & gas sectors in Latin America. Besides, she has experience in tax policy on matters related to climate change, energy transition and ESG.

Beatriz has more than 25 years of experience and previously developed her career in Peru, where she was tax partner and energy leader. She also participated in the design of fiscal policies on hydrocarbon and energy transition matters (hydrogen and electromobility) for governmental authorities and associations

She led, as a part of KPMG’s LATAM ESG group, projects on ESG maturity assessment and policy for energy companies. Previously, she participated as a senior expert in charge of the assessment of the Peruvian climate change mitigation developments in the energy sector to determine and prioritize the Interamerican Development Bank’s financing opportunities.

Throughout her professional career, Beatriz has written articles and participated as speaker in topics related to taxation, energy and natural resources for magazines and associations of the LATAM region.

Beatriz was a lecturer of Mining and Energy Law in postgraduate courses at prestigious Peruvian universities.
