
Alberto Morandi
Dr. Alberto Morandi is the co-chair of the Energy Committee of BRATECC. A Naval Architect with 40 years of experience in the maritime and offshore industries, he has developed solutions for markets such as Oil & Gas, Renewables, Construction, Carbon Capture, and Platform Re-use. He serves as Vice-President of Technology & Research, of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), liaising with maritime nuclear groups such as MNAG and the ANS Maritime Task Force. Presently holds the position of Managing Director – Americas of GustoMSC/NOV, a leader in the design of offshore structures such as jack-ups, semisubmersibles and special-purpose ships. He is a PE in the State of Texas and a Chartered Engineer in the UK as well as an expert witness to the Federal Courts of Texas and Louisiana and to the US Arbitration Association. Over 60 published papers and articles as well as speaking in conferences and industry panels, receiving an OTC best paper in 2022.
