Helder Waiandt
Helder Waiandt is a Brazilian-American entrepreneur and executive with a track
record in energy, energy transition, and innovation, working across startups, new
ventures, commercialization, marketing, and business development. He is a
metallurgical engineer from Ouro Preto’s School of Mines, specialized in mechanical
properties. He holds an MBA, PMP certification, and Lead Auditor credentials, in
addition to a Process Management Professional qualification.
A Houston resident since 2012, Helder founded SWOT Action, a consulting company
focused on helping small and mid-sized businesses scale in the U.S. He is also
Founder and Partner Director of UPTEC Solutions LTDA, advancing cross-border
collaboration by connecting U.S. and Brazilian companies through innovative
technologies for industrial maintenance and remote monitoring.
Since 2018, Helder has served on the Board of Directors of BRATECC (Brazil-Texas
Chamber of Commerce) and currently serves as its Vice President. He is married to
Raquel Couri and is the father of four daughters. He also founded the Flamengo
Consulate “Urubu Texano” in Houston, strengthening the Brazilian community and
culture locally.
